THE WORKS OF THE LATE EDGAR ALLEN [[ALLAN]] POE, with a memoir by Rufus W. Griswold, and notices of his life and genius by N.P. Willis and J. R. Lowell, in four volumes. Vol. 4. Redfield; New York. 1856.
This volume completes the handsome series of Poe's works, published by Mr. Redfield. More than half of the book is devoted to the story of “Arthur Gordon Pym,” the south sea traveller. It is the only nautical tale, we believe, ever written by the author, and this was penned at an early period in his literary life. Besides this, there are some twenty other tales, mostly of a humorous character, and all intensely interesting. This edition of Poe's works is indespensable [[indispensable]] to a complete American library, and those who have not purchased the volumes as they appeared should take the set complete.
It is for sale by J. McMahon and D. M. Dewey.
