THE WORKS OF THE LATE EDGAR ALLAN POE. With a Memoir. By Rufus W. Griswold. And Notices of his Life and Genius. By N. P. Willis and J. R. Lowell. In four volumes. Vol. lv., Arthur Gordon Pym, etc. 12mo, pp. 447. Price $1 25. New York: Redfield, 84 Beekman Street.

This completes the collection, and we now have, in four handsome 12mo volumes, “The Complete Works of Edgar A. Poe.” If possible, the present volume is more interesting than its predecessors. All who have read previous volumes will certainly treat themselves to this. There is real genius displayed in the following papers, contained In this the concluding volume: Narrative of A. Gordon Pym — How to Write a Blackwood Article — Mystification — Loss of Breath — The Business Man — The Landscape Garden — Maelzei's Chess Player — Magazine Writing — Peter Snook — The Quacks of Helicon — A Satire — Astoria, etc.

The editors and publisher deserves great credit for the excellent manner in which they have performed this work.
