This review Harrison prints as Poe's. The author of the Philadelphia Saturday Museum review of Griswold has: [page 386:]
Now for Mr. Griswold's critical powers. We shall. quote some few passages from one of his latest reviews, and that on the works of the author of the Charmed Sleeper — Alfred Tennyson (H, XI, 237) .
He proceeds to copy several sentences from this September review, from which Griswold incorporated material in the introductory sketch of Tennyson in his The Poets and Poetry of England. Three passages, totalling fifteen lines, are reproduced with few alterations.
