Notes:
The priority of the actual first appearance of the poem has been debated. The evidence suggests that although the American Review was dated for February 1845, it was actually available earlier, about mid-January, in anticipation of the month of issue.
The 1846 London issue of The Raven and Other Poems is not so much a reprint as it is the original American pages, probably as remainder, with a new title page. It is also possible that new pages were reprinted, but using stereoplates from the American edition, as the American spellings are retained, unlike the British reprint of Pym.
