☞ We have received from Messrs. Wiley Putnam, the New York publishers, the following four numbers of their “Library of Choice Reading,” viz. — “The French in Algiers,” translated from the French and German by Lady Duff Gordon; the “Amber Witch,” translated by the same lady from the German of Meinhold; also “Undine” and “Sintram and his Companions,” translated from the German of De la Motte Foqué; and “Eöthen,”as delightful a book of travels as we ever read. — From the same source, we have a copy of “Tales by Edgar A. Poe,” consisting of a small collection from his voluminous prose works.
