[page 4, column 4, continued:]

Poe's Monument. — The marble monument to Edgar A. Poe, in Westminster church-yard, was yesterday erected over the poet's remains, which were disinterred and replaced before the foundation of the monument was laid, as stated yesterday. Poe was born January 20, 1819, and died October 7, 1849. The monument has a bas relief medallion of the poet, and the whole structure stands sixteen feet high and stands among some-time honored tombs and monuments to the dead.

Notes:

Poe was actually born on January 19, 1809, but the error of January 20 is still on the monument.
