Frederick Chamier

Frederick Chamier

(Born: November 2, 1796 - Died: October 29, 1870)

English naval officer and novelist. He was born in London, UK, the son of John Ezechiel Chamier, né Deschamps, and Georgiana Grace. He married Elizabeth Sloane on April30, 1832, and they had one child, Eliza Maria (born in 1833). He began to write novels after his retirement from the navy in 1827. He died in Hastings, on the south coast of England.
