Mrs. Mary Gove

Mrs. Mary Gove

(Born: August 10, 1810 - Died: May 30, 1884)

American novelist, health lecturer and author. Mary Sargeant Neal was born in Goffstown, NH. She married Hiram Gove in 1831, whom she divorced in 1847. In 1848, she married Thomas Low Nichols, who shared her active interest in health reform.
