American lawyer and businessman. He was the president of the Mechanics Bank, and director of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. Married Anna Maria Hollingsworth on March 20, 1817. There is a oil portrait of Mr. Morris by Thomas Sully (at the Smithsonian?)
