Rev. John Pierpont

(Born: April 6, 1785 - Died: August 27, 1866)

American educator, lawyer, merchant, Unitarian Minister and minor poet. He was a vocal abolitionist. His grandson, the prominent financier John Pierpont Morgan, was named after him.
