(Born: February 26, 1817 - Died: December 16, 1852)

American lawyer, author and critic. His parents were John Bradford Wallace and Susan Binney Wallace. He was the last of six children, and was named for his maternal uncle, Horace Binney (1780-1875). He died in Paris, where he had travelled for health reasons. His death is thought to have been a suicide. He is buried in a family vault in St. Peter’s Episcopal Churchyard, Society Hill, Philadelphia, PA. Wallace had no children and never married.
