Editorial Announcements

Poe Studies wishes to thank Judy Osowski for preparing “Fugitive Poe References” since 1971; that listing, sponsored by the Bibliographical Committee of the Poe Studies Association, will now be compiled by Benjamin Franklin Fisher IV of Hahnemann Medical College.

The Poe Studies Association Newsletter is published independently of this journal. For information concerning membership in the association and subscriptions to its Newsletter, write Professor J. Lasley Dameron, President PSA, Department of English, Memphis State University, Memphis, Tennessee 38152.

Beginning with number 1, volume 11, Poe Studies will adopt an abbreviated style of documentation for frequently cited texts of Poe’s writings. When reference to a standard text is appropriate, contributors should use the following: for the letters, The Letters of Edgar Allan Poe, ed. John Ward Ostrom, rev. ed. (New York: Gordian Press, 1966); for the poems, The Poems of Edgar Allan Poe, ed. Floyd Stovall (Charlottesville: University Press of Virginia, 1965), or Collected Works of Edgar Allan Poe, I: Poems, ed. Thomas Ollive Mabbott (Cambridge: Belknap Press of Harvard University Press, 1969), for the tales and other writings, The Complete Works of Edgar Allan Poe, ed. James A. Harrison (New York: Thomas Y. Crowell, 1902) or the reprint (New York: AMS Press, 1965), to be superseded as forthcoming volumes of the Harvard Collected Works appear.
