The Lone Star: A Tale of Texas. By J. Willmer Dallam. Founded upon Incidents in the History of Texas. New York: E. Ferrett & Co.
We have not read this novel so carefully as we could wish — but shall do so and speak of it hereafter. Some passages are written with power. J. Willmer Dallam is perhaps a nom de plume. The book is handsomely printed, on good paper, and with fine type — although the price is but 25 cts.
