The original print was published by B. Tanner, Philadelphia, February 24, 1812. It measures 12 1/2 inches high by 15.75 inches wide, and bears the title “The Burning of the Theater in Richmond, Virginia on the Night of 26th December, 1811.” Copies of the image as both black and white and hand-colored may be found in the collection of the Richmond Poe Museum, Richmond, VA.
