EDITORIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Our delayed issue for December 1984 will feature a complete subject index to the “Current Poe Bibliographies” that have appeared in this journal since 1968. The index, compiled by Professor J. Lasley Dameron and prepared for publication by the Memphis State University Computing Center and the Washington Stare University Humanities Research Center, represents the first step in the journal’s eventual conversion to computer typesetting. It also represents the culmination of Professor Dameron’s tenure as chief compiler of the “Current Poe Bibliography,” a post that will be assumed by Professor Richard Kopley with its next installment in June 1986. Relevant offprints may be sent to Professor Kopley at The Pennsylvania State University, Dubois Campus, College Place, DuBois, PA 15801.
With the first issue of Volume 19 for 1986, Poe Studies will change to a new format and be published with covers. Individual subscriptions beginning with the current volume are available at a 20 percent discount off the yearly rate to members of the following organizations: The Poe Studies Association; The Poe Society of Baltimore; The Poe Foundation and Museum of Richmond; and The Bronx Historical Society. Please indicate membership when subscribing.

Every reasonable effort has been made to maintain the integrity of the texts presented here. Some of the words included in the original printed form of these articles, however, especially in names or titles of foreign items in the bibliographies, use unusual characters which are not part of standard browser fonts. Generally, these are common letters with special accents. When these characters have been encountered, the letter has been provided without the accent.
